A former top prosecutor in northern Samangan province was arrested by local police on Sunday for sexually assaulting his 13-year-old adopted daughter, according to local officials.
Qazi Toorgul is accused of raping his adopted daughter, who is now six month pregnant. According to reports, she already has three-year-old child from him.
The accused was taken into police custody on the basis of a complaint filed by the mother of victim. The victim, who is now at the governor’s office, has called for stringent punishment to the accused.

The 15-year-old girl was repeatedly subjected to sexual harassment and rape by her biological father.
Provincial police officials confirmed the incident and said the accused has been taken into custody. The accused had threatened to kill his daughter if she went public about it.
